How to Disable and Uninstall the Samsung Visit In App on Samsung Devices

YouTube video

In a recent update, Samsung has rolled out an application called Samsung Visit In, which is automatically installed on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra, and other Samsung devices running One UI firmware. This application sends notifications to users when they are in a specific store, such as Best Buy, and alerts them to potential sales for Samsung products. While this may seem convenient for some, others find it intrusive and unnecessary. In this article, we will guide you through the process of disabling and uninstalling the Samsung Visit In app from your device.

Step 1: Check if Samsung Visit In App is Installed

To start, you need to check if the Samsung Visit In app is installed on your device. Open the settings application on your Samsung device and scroll down until you see the “Apps” option. Tap on it and either tap on the three dot menu or the sorting option button to select the “Show system apps” toggle. This will display all the system apps on your device. Search for the app named “Visit” and if you find an app called “Samsung Visit In”, it means the app is installed on your device.

Step 2: Disable Samsung Visit In App

If you have the option to disable the app from the settings, you can do so by tapping on the app and selecting the disable option. However, on some devices, this option may be grayed out and not available. Don’t worry, we can still disable the app using ADB (Android Debug Bridge) with the help of a PC.

Step 3: Connect Your Device to a PC and Install ADB

Before proceeding, make sure you have ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and Fastboot tools installed on your PC. If you haven’t already done so, you can find instructions on how to install them in the video description. Connect your Samsung device to your PC using a USB cable.

Step 4: Enable USB Debugging Mode

To allow USB debugging, go to the Developer Options menu on your Samsung device. If you’re not familiar with how to enable developer mode, refer to the instructions in the video description. Scroll down and toggle on the “USB Debugging” option. If the ADB service is running on your PC, you will get a prompt asking for USB debugging access. Grant the permission to proceed.

Step 5: Open Command Prompt or Terminal

Open a command prompt or terminal on your PC in the same folder where you have the ADB and Fastboot tools. This can be done by right-clicking in the folder and selecting “Open PowerShell window here” or “Open Command Prompt window here”, depending on your operating system.

Step 6: Execute ADB Commands

In the command prompt or terminal, type the following command to enter the ADB shell:

adb shell

Then, enter the following command to uninstall the Samsung Visit In app from the default user profile:

pm uninstall --user 0

Press Enter to execute the command. If the process is successful, you will receive a success message.

Step 7: Verify App Uninstallation

To ensure that the Samsung Visit In app has been uninstalled and disabled from the current user, go back to your device and search for the app named “Visit” in the app section of the settings. The Samsung Visit In app should no longer appear in the list of installed apps. You can also search for the package name “” to check if the app has been successfully uninstalled.

By following these steps, you can disable and uninstall the Samsung Visit In app from your Samsung device, preventing it from displaying ads and notifications to you. This process works on the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra, and likely all other Samsung devices running One UI firmware.

Note: If you have multiple user profiles on your device, such as a work profile, you may need to repeat the process for each user to completely remove the app.

In conclusion, it is frustrating to have unwanted applications automatically installed on our devices, especially when they send targeted notifications. However, by using the ADB method, we can take control of our devices and choose which apps we want to keep. Disabling and uninstalling the Samsung Visit In app gives users the freedom to customize their devices according to their preferences.
